Thank you for your interest in the Blue Ribbon Foundation's Grant Writing Workshops. The last workshop, held March 23, 2009 at the WFA offices was very succesful. See the photo in the gallery of the attendees. The next workshop will be scheduled shortly and will be a working session designed to help participants develop specific projects to the point that they are suitable for funding. These workshops are a follow up to the Grant Writing Workshops held at the last two WFA Conventions. Participants are expected to arrive at the workshop with a project identified and in one of the stages of development (Project, Research, Organization, Sale, and Execution). Any and all questions are welcome. Please contact Patrick Desmond, Blue Ribbon Foundation Project Coordinator at patdesmond@sisqtel.net or 530-468-2888.

El Dorado County Fair was notified this week that we got our grant for stall mats and rubber bark through California Integrated Waste Management Board's Tire Derived Product program. Any Fair interested in applying, I'd be happy to help.

Thanks to everyone who attended the first Grant Writing workshop held last Monday, March 23, 2009. The workshop went well and everyone, including me, felt like they learned something. Thanks to the terrific staff at Western Fairs for their hospitality and hard work making sure the event was a success. Stay tuned to this group for updates about future workshops. Patrick Desmond
